Therapy is expensive.  It's more accurate & useful to understand therapy as an investment rather than an expense.

Effective, professional help can get you back your life & create your new normal.  The value of the potential benefits of therapy is enormous.  At the same time, the cost of staying stuck is also enormous, emotionally, financially & in your relationships.

There are no guarantees in therapy and a lot of the growth is dependent on how you make use of our work but I can promise you that I will value your time and your investment so you get the most out of this treatment as possible.

Late cancellation fees are an unfortunate necessity.

If a cancellation is 2 days prior to an appointment the charge is $75
If a cancellation is 1 day prior to an appointment the charge is the fee for the session.

Yup, I do.  What you likely want to know though is if I am "in-network" with your insurance.  I know, it shouldn't be this complicated but this is how it is these days with medical insurance.

In-network means I have a contract with your insurance and you likely have a copay after a deductible is met.

Out-of-network means that, if you have coverage for out-of-network providers, your insurance will reimburse you a percentage of the fee.

I am out-of-network for all insurances besides Pacific Source (the private version, unfortunately not OHP).

If you have insurance but don't know your out-of-network benefits I would recommend giving your insurance a call and asking them the specific questions outlined in the box below.

Regence/Blue Cross/Blue Shield - many of my clients have this insurance and are able to use out-of-network coverage to work with me.

HSA plan - yes, you can use your HSA.  Psychotherapy is an accepted expense.

If you are not clear on your insurance benefits you can call your insurance company and ask them:

“Please explain the difference in my benefits for in-network and  out-of-network mental health.”

Make sure you get the following information addressed…

• What are my in-network and my out-of-network benefits for mental health?
• What is the amount of my deductible, how much of it have I met already
• Do I have separate deductibles for my in-network and my out-of-network benefits?
• Do I need pre-authorization for in-network or out-of-network providers?

I can't make any guarantees what any insurance company will do but even when insurance plans require a referral to see a specialist I have never seen any require a referral for therapy.
